Hopefully Joss and company will have a chance to give us an arc that takes us inevitably to last season's unaired episode 13. What would work really well is for them to lead up to it and show 13 as the final episode of the series.
I'm finding it increasingly harder to watch ANY new shows. They all get pulled and I'm left hanging. I hate that. I wind up feeling like I wasted my time. If they have to serialize everything, then at least let them wrap it up before pulling the plug so we get some answers.
Jackie you always find the coolest sites. But i just don't know if there's anything Fox can do to get me to watch another new show from them.
How much you wanna bet FOX screws this up to0?
Fox Developing "Howl" Werewolf TV Series
Posted: December 4th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
The vampires are huge right now, but werewolves are on the rise. Both "New Moon" and Benicio Del Toro's "The Wolfman" feature the mythical creatures, which is why Fox is now looking to get into the werewolf business.
The network is developing a television show called "Howl," which is being written by Joshua Miller and MA Fortin. It is being described as an epic family saga about warring families of werewolves in a small Alaskan town. "Alaska is a place where people disappear and now you know why," said Miller.
The script reflects the changes that are going on in the country, and "metamorphosis and constant change is the basis of werewolf mythology," Miller added. "Howl" is about "the psychology of living with change".

Joss Whedon on Why "Dollhouse" Was Cancelled
Posted: December 4th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Now that there are only a few episodes left of "Dollhouse," show creator Joss Whedon sat down with Chicago Tribune to talk about what he believes were the reasons for the TV series' cancellation. In a polite way, he explained that Fox ruined the show that he originally envisioned.
"The show didn't really get off the ground because the network pretty much wanted to back away from the concept five minutes after they bought it," said Whedon. "And then ultimately, the show itself is also kind of odd and difficult to market. I actually think they did a good job, but it's just not a slam-dunk concept."
He continued: "We always found ourselves sort of moving away from what had been part of the original spark of the show and that ultimately just makes it really hard to write these stories."
"[Part of the problem was:] the other implications of what was originally supposed to be somewhat more of a fantasy. The real-world version of [this kind of activity:] was I think what made the network really twitchy and I can't really fault them for that. I just thought when I went in and pitched it ...you know, it frightened me too [but I thought:] we all got that that was what we were doing."

After watching these two episodes from tonight, I can't believe FOX is going to be stupid enough to cancel it! Can't they see what they've got?
Both episodes were awesome! So much happened in those two hours. Things got complicated real fast. I knew The Senator was going to be the doll, not the bitchy wife.
Summer Glau as Bennett; she's really crazy, scary crazy. Brilliant and dangerous. And her tie to Caroline, I hope we get to see more of that story.
Topher and Victor as Topher, how funny was that?
Fox is making a big mistake here in cancelling Dollhouse.
Doesn't that suck?
Well, at least we'll be getting Dollhouse when everything else stops for Xmas. Which is messed up when you think about it...most things stop, probably because the networks think they can't compete against the same Xmas shows we see every year...yet Fox is airing Dollhouse...hummmm...it's like now that they cancelled it, they don't give a damn about the ratings...or if anyone watches it. That's OK, because I sure as hell will be watching it.
I feel like I'm the kiss of death too, but I think it's just that we are too smart for our own good. It seems all the shows that make you think are the ones that get cancelled. All the shows that spell everything out for everyone (*coughs*CSI) seem to last.
Oh, yeah Dark Angel. My hubby and I watched that too. That was when Jessica Alba was a good actress.
LOL, I feel that way too. But I think it's more likely that the mainstream likes crap and of course we don't. Our shows are just too good for them, hahahah
I loved Dark Angel. And I watched Tru Calling faithfully. I sometimes think my liking a show is the kiss of death!
Same here, I don't care for Jason Priestly but I have to admit, his character was very interesting, opened so many new possibilities.
And Dark Angel, another Fox show cut in the middle of a cliffhanger. Oh that just drives me NUTS!
Thanks, Holli.Jackie, I loved Tru Calling! Even when they added in JAson Priestly who I am not a fan. They show was just starting to get interesting when it got cancelled. So pissed about that. Excellent show with potential to go some place interesting.
At least we won't be left hanging if Joss has the opportunity to 'wrap it up'.
Fox anoys me because they often take on shows that would never see the light of day anywhere else, but they don't stand behind them. So what good is it?
Here ya go Roxy.......
Fox has pulled the plug on Joss Whedon's controversial mind-sponges-for-hire show Dollhouse, although the show will finish the 13 episodes already planned. Update: A show insider tells io9 the airdates of the remaining episodes.
A show insider tells io9 that the network will definitely not be ordering any more episodes after the current 13, but the show remains in production for now. (They're making episode 11 at the moment.) The 13th. episode will serve as the series finale, and this gives Joss Whedon a chance to wrap up the show in a "significant" way.
And the insider told us this is the schedule for airing the remaining episodes:
Dec. 4 - 8:00PM-10:00PM ET/PT (Episodes 5 & 6)
Dec. 11 - 8:00PM-10:00PM ET/PT (Episodes 7 & 8)
Dec. 18 - 8:00PM-10:00PM ET/PT (Episodes 9 & 10)
Jan. 8 - 9:00PM-10:00PM ET/PT (Episode 11)
Jan. 15 - 9:00PM-10:00PM ET/PT (Episode 12)
Jan. 22 - 9:00PM-10:00PM ET/PT (Episode 13 / Series Finale)

Joss Whedon reacts to 'Dollhouse' cancellation
By Nellie Andreeva and Lesley Goldberg
"Dollhouse" creator Joss Whedon on Wednesday shared his disappointment at Fox's decision to cancel the sci-fi thriller in a post on Whedonesque.com:
"I don't have a lot to say," Whedon wrote. "I'm extremely proud of the people I've worked with: my star (Eliza Dushku), my staff, my cast, my crew. I feel the show is getting better pretty much every week, and I think you'll agree in the coming months. I'm grateful that we got to put it on, and then come back and put it on again."
Whedon also addressed his plans. "I'm off to pursue internet ventures/binge drinking," he wrote. "Possibly that relaxation thing I've read so much about. By the time the last episode airs, you'll know what my next project is. But for now there's a lot of work still to be done, and disappointment to bear."
"Thank you all for your support, your patience, your excellent adverts. See you again," Whedon said in closing.
Yeah i remember it vaguely. So i looked it up, and yes it was FOX. It had 2 season with 26 episodes. I sure hope that the next pilot she does is not for Fox.
Did anyone here see Eliza in Tru Calling? Yet another fantastically imaginative series cancelled too soon. I think it may have been on Fox too, but I'm not sure.
Now that would be alright. TNT TBS USA
I still have Fringe, Bones, Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, & Lie To Me.
The cable/dish networks could only, in theory, track what you watch if you connect your system to a phone line which is not necessary if you don't do on-demand.Are we going to get to see the remaining episodes for this season? I assume there are a few more episodes, right? I'm hoping a cable channel like TNT would pick it up. They are doing so well with shows right now.
They get a box that tracks what is watched. I heard someone say that they went through a lot of trouble to be a "neilsen house" but only had it for 6 months. What good does that do? You'd think that each cable/dish network had some way to track what was being watched/dvr'd.
Who knows. I don't know how it works now, but a long time ago each viewer of a particular television set had to keep a log. The logs were mailed to the company in a postage paid envelope. I'm sure it's more technologically advanced nowadays! That just shows how old I am!
Jackie wrote: "All I got now is Lie to Me and Bones. I think that's it. We'd never get enough people to do it to make it noticable."Unless we were all Nielsen families they wouldn't notice our not watching Fox. Right now I watch Fringe, Bones, and House in addition to Dollhouse.
All I got now is Lie to Me and Bones. I think that's it. We'd never get enough people to do it to make it noticable.
I wonder if for a day or two no one watched or dvr'd Fox what would happen. Seems like i've only got 6 shows i watch on fox now.
There is nothing we can do. Even if by some miracle they'd give it a chance, 4 more episodes and they'd cancel it anyway. Better to just rip that band-aid off right now and get it over with.
FOX didn't want this show to succeed, you can tell by the way they treated it right from the start.
I've been thinking about what we can do, but i keep coming up empty. going to their web sites & bitching about it doesn't work. Sitting down and writing letters to send by snail mail won't work either. Don't know what's left.
The idiot couldn't have ever watched Dollhouse if he thinks it's a high tech escort service. That's what he thought it was about, obviously. Asshole.
Yeah right! I read that shit & thought what show are those asses watching! Not to sound repetitive but how do they figure there wasn't an audience when it wasn't even on that much? Fing basebll took it over. How can you get ratings when your not on the air. I'm with the rest of you network TV is sinking, & they suck!
just read the news blurb....."started with great fanfare but struggle to find an audience....." dumb asses! whose fault do you think that is....not the actual show! If it started with great fanfare that means the fans are there. Grrrr.... oh and let me just say the anonomys a-hole describing the show as a "hight-tech escort service" is not helping the show!
WTF! I just don't understand the decisions Networks are making anymore. They've canceled so many good shows. Shows that had some meat to them not just fluffy and easy drama. aarrggg!!! I'm so disappointed in Fox!! I thought they were making better decisions then the other networks!
I'm so sad. I knew it was coming, but still, I'm disappointed to hear the "official" word. It makes me want to never watch a new show again! This happened with Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles. I LOVED that show and they did the renewal only to cancel it anyways. I'm with you Jackie, I'm disgusted with network TV, too.
It will be back in December, I think the 4th, for a two hour episode. We should have a few more before January 22, I would think.
SOAB! How the hell can it find an audience when it doesn't get fing air time? It said 13 episodes, does that mean we'll get a few more by the series finale Jan.22?
What was your second show Jackie?
OK, folks. Fox has cancelled Dollhouse. We all suspected it was coming. Here's the link.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33867839/ns/...
Yeah i feel like i'm reverting back to 4 years old. Kicking, screaming, throwing things, fussing at the TV. LOL :)
