1235924 Hey Melanie!

I recently discovered Amanda Ward and quickly read all three of her novels. I loved them all. She has a straight-forward, no-nonsense writing style, interesting characters and compelling plots. If you give one of her books a try I'd love to hear what you think.

169381 The second one was pretty good too. I think I read up through the third. I actually forgot about them - I think I need to add the rest of the series on my TBR list. :)

1235924 Loved it! I'm not much of a fantasy reader, but Mr. Martin is winning me over. I'm debating about starting on the second book in the series.

169381 TV show doesn't have the best acting :), but sounds like the book - entertaining and easy to get sucked into.

1235924 I picked this one up mostly because of the popularity of urban fantasy novels. I wanted to see what the buzz was all about. This one reads like a modern day Raymond Chandler novel with wizards! Nothing too deep or earth provoking here, but it was definitely a fun, easy and entertaining read.

Reading the book has made me curious about the TV series. I might need to check it out.

Hi Barb! How was this one? I watched the Dresden TV series on Sci Fi a couple years ago and thought it was an interesting story line.
