I recently read The gangster we are all looking for by Lê Thi Diem ThúyIt was a very lyrically written story from a young girls pov about the family escaping Vietnam and getting to California. They family gets split up and so it goes back and forth between Vietnam and California. It was an okay read but not really what I was looking for.
