Soaked with the pain of starvation Miyari awakens to another dark, ill-fated night. As he does with each and every day he tries to sleep during the early hours so he can scour the streets at night hidden in mystery, not because he needs to but to avoid any confrontation from those who might otherwise be unaccepting. As his eyes grow wider and his body starts to stretch and free itself from the aches of sleeping upon an asphalt bed his mind awakens and reminds him of the life he lives. "Ahhhhhh, another night it seems I awaken", he moans in a half-concious sarcastic studder. As he starts to make his way to his feet using the assistance of a neighboring recycle bin he notices his friend Aurem sitting on a park bench across the street. "Miyari! Get up, I have brought you some food. Miyari, I know you're hungry, c'mon." Quickly Miyari turns his head pretending he doesn't see him yet, never wanting anyone to know where he sleeps at night it seems that Aurem always has a way of finding him, like his own personal guardian angel, except there isn't many threats that Aurem could ward off alone. As he looks back up and now blatantly notices Aurem sitting there his eyes start to damper with an unimaginable pain. At a tone almost unrecognizable to his own ear he whispers, "Even when the most rewarding angels come, the sadness we bear when that happiness is emptied from our hearts is too much for anyone to endure."
Miyari now casts himself up and starts walking towards his anxious friend. Staring at the sky above him he finally greets Aurem, “There's something about the night time that seems so surreal, anyway how's everything going with you?” Aurem, quick-witted, responds “Fine, fine. Everyone's waiting for us at the diner though, are you ready to go?” “Yep!” Miyari answers with a hint of a smile starting to break from his face. The two now start towards West 32nd Street where their friend Danny's parents own “The Diamond”, a mediocre restaurant that increases its popularity with free Internet traffic behind a heavily encrypted back-end, something that is very rare ever since the government started regulating information mediums. Needless to say that this diner has a habit of attracting local hackers and those who wish to remain anonymous, including Miyari and his friends. As they continue along the busy streets Aurem pulls from his pocket a new SYNSYS Micro5 processor, a part they've been needing for their project for a couple months now and shows it to Miyari. Miyari instantly smiles at the sight of it and quickly grabs it from his pals hands. “Hey, careful man. Do you know how many hours I had to work to get this? Even with my discount this piece costs a pretty penny.” Aurem works at SYNSYS as do most of the population's technology enthusiasts, but he's mainly there for the discounted components he buys for "the silicon experiments", which the two of them run along with the rest of their friends. The goal is to create an interactive community of underground hackers and help spread information among a heavily corrupt and dying world. "So Miyari", Aurem questions, "Why do you always sleep outside when you know we have room at our apartment?" The two round the side of the restaurant where their friends are waiting. "There's a lot of clarity when I sleep out here you should try it some time." Miyari states kiddingly. "But don't your foster parents refute the idea of you sleeping out here?" Aurem responds. "Of course, and that's why they'll never understand me. Now let's head inside and grab some food I'm starving."
