Writing about what has become my pet project is in some ways more difficult than creating it. Because it is so important to me, much is at stake when I attempt to describe it. In writing this article, I hope I have explained the project so that each of you sees my experience as a possibility for yourself. In speaking for my community, I hope that I can inspire a hint of curiosity to see what a difference you could make and the enthusiasm that would cause you to join us. To each of you I extend the invitation to visit the FLC, to get to know the community as it is and to take the opportunity to make a space within it for yourself.
Sincerely,

Christie Hall
