stolen through window panes and brick walls,
tucked away among the memories of other things which never happened, either.

i sat in the concrete spot and watched the quad lights obliterate the moonrise,
supplemental stars, sibling rivals screaming each other down,
"hey look what i can do."

a three hundred and sixty sense of self,
lathed to perfection along the axes of your prescription,
i stood with
complete composure
and watched the walls come crashing down around me
