I have a 10 harness countermarche traditional Swedish Loom, with an overhead beater. The loom is about 5 feet wide and 8 feet long and 6 feet tall. I have two devices for warping, a standard warping board and a horizontal warping mill. I also have a very standard bare minimum contemporary looking spinning wheel made by louet. Nothing feels more healing than weaving, and so why not expand the weaving blog here to include nutrition and happenings, projects and research that we weave into our lives. We are a well rounded studio, that creates weavings that stand for healthy values and bridging of mediums, and community building efforts. Lets build a village!

Ask me about both fine art & functional manifestations; I am a Master of Paper Weavings and giving instruction as well as Memorial & Heritage work. I also work alone and together or "interdependently" with all who share the Namasteezy Spirit, those who want to learn and those who are not only interested in but help to keep the dying art forms from becoming totally extinct. I work hard to stay in touch with those who supply pure green fibers and dyes.

Hello,

Thank you for supporting the studio. I don't say my studio, because it "Our Space", its about us and what we can do to get our unity and power back as people on earth that want love and peace.

I know its easy to use these online platforms, they can be trendy and fun, then the next one comes along. So I attempt to use them to serve the message board where we can get busy in a more functional way.

You will like the way we develop the theme of weaving in community. And how weaving helps us to explore spirituality and Dharma. An example is The Red Rite - which is tantric - a Sanskrit word meaning “woven”. So it fits quite well. I find that, although it’s easy to caught up in the online web, that a community of real people, met face to face is more satisfying by several orders of magnitude - community needs to be woven from interaction between people. It’s easy to mistake the one dimensional medium of online, text only, communication as fulfilling the need for community. In my experience it doesn’t quite make it, there is something missing, an organic, warm, wet, coming together when another person is involved that makes all the difference!

Message boards help us to leap back so we can produce results, and protect our free speech while the online platforms seem to chip away at it little by little if not fully.

The message board is not just about weaving, but all healing arts, and we honor people for their efforts in massage and yoga.
