Thanks to all you folks wanting to be friends. Lord knows why as there are darn few benefits. (Those of you who already sent the naked photos are grandfathered, by the way).
To prevent future confusion and angst, and the possibility of attack on my personage with mace and chain, I must publish a few guidelines.
To wit:
Don't ask--
1. If you have given any Harry Potter book more than two stars--sorry, automatically disqualifies you.
2. If your genre for reading/writing is Science Fiction or fantasy--probably not.
3. If you list less than ten books read--get serious
4. If over 50% of your list you read before you were eleven years old--grow up.
5. If you don't think Triumph the Insult Dog is a better interviewer than say, Katie Couric--no chance
6. If you don't know Triumph the Insult Dog--you probably wouldn't want to be my friend anyway.
7. If you haven't realized by now that I am a sarcastic wiseass--don't even bother.
8. If you haven't figured out that French and English are currently the only international languages--Join the rainbow coalition.
9. If Gothic horror vampire furry little animals populate your literature--reconsider.

I'm also reserving the right to add to this list, or ignore it. So would it be too much to ask that we have even a smidgen of commonality before you send the request?
