I Really Read All This Stuff

I'm just letting any Doubting Thomases out there know that I'm recording my lifetime of reading, not just recent. And today, October 31, I've started going through the list of books my husband's kept since 2001 adding into goodreads those that I've also read.

Reason # 1- I'm 58 years old. I've been reading for ever...an avid reader. Started in the first grade with Squanto. I loved that book and never stopped reading.

Reason#2- I'm socially awkward. Books are just easier.

Reason #3- My husband and listen to tapes a lot, both of us. It's great because we usually listen to the same books and can then talk about them. I don't mean deep, intellectual discussions, but a sharing of what we like and don't like.

Also as I go through his list and see an author whose books I like, I have also been adding the ones I've read.

I am only up to 2004 and I haven't even begun to go through the books on my shelves!

Reason #4- I'm a writer.
