The stars they look so strange tonight
Broken promises are in the air
Uneasy whispers within the wind
Betray the silent hands they bear
I stagger through the dancing fields
Its silver grasses laugh and cry
While dark trees sway and leaves scatter
In echoes of terror across the sky
Yes, the stars they do look strange tonight
And I am left to watch and scream
Where others find their warmth and comfort
I find this thought in endless dreams:
A lonely truth has found its way
To me; around, below, above
No love is here to guide my path
No path to guide my love.
