I walked to lunch with Lacey again. I told her I had something that I needed to tell her. Of course she got totally excited but I told her i need a favor from her too. She said okay and I told her exactly what to do. Her signal was a cough.

"Hey Ash, Krissy,Gavin, and Heath."

They all smiled and I sat down next to Heath.

"So why did u and Night get in trouble?" Heath smiled at me.

"Oh, uh he passed me a note and then we laughed when Mr.Gregs came to us."

"He passed a note to you?" jealousy flashed into Heaths eyes.

"Yes, it was just about how boring the class was."

"Oh, so what did Mrs. Sanders say?"

I pulled out the 3 detention slips and placed them on the table. Krissy gasped.

"Sabrina Day! If this Landon Night dude is going to get you into trouble then I suggest-Oh my!" Great she noticed. "Da.… I suggest, I, don't hang out with him!"
She kicked me under the table.

"Ya we laughed in her office too and then she got really mad." I said thinking about the name thing.

"Whoa, that was smart." Heath said jokingly.

Then I coughed.

"Hey Gavin could you go get my pink notebook from my locker? Pleaseee?" Lacey batted her eyelashes.

"Sure Lace as long as Heath goes with me." Lacey and I grinned.

"Sure man." Heath said and they walked out the cafeteria.

Lacey and Krissy turned to me. "Okay so he passed me the note, Mr. Gregs came and asked Landon what was so funny and then we both laughed and got sent to the office. Mrs. Sanders already knew him and when I told her my name she got really mad. She thought we were playing a last name prank on her. Then we realized what she meant and started laughing. She then was furious and we got 3 day detention. We were walking to class Landon grabbed my hand! He was about to tell me he really liked me when we ran into Heath. Luckily Landon knew Heath was coming and he dropped my hand and said 'I really like your shoes' instead of 'I really like you.'"

They both were silent, eyes wide with shock.

Krissy spoke first, "Do you like him?"

My face got warm, "I think so."

"You totally do! Look at your blush!" Lacey exclaimed. She glanced over my shoulder. "He is really hot."

I turned around and saw him sitting at the "cool guys who aren't football players" table. He was laughing really hard at something but I didn't know what. I guess no one else knew either because the guys were staring at him.

Then Heath and Gavin were back.
