I was heart broken. I loved Heath and new he was the one, but the sing made sense. Now Landon had to ruin everything by basically telling me he loves me. This sucked and I only knew of one easy way to get out. Playing stupid.

"Well, that was a nice song." I smiled at Landon. "It's getting late and I should get going. My house is only two streets away." I stood up.

"Sabrina wait." Landon grabbed my hand. "That's it? You just think it's a song I decided to sing for the heck of it? Sabrina I just told you how I really feel about you." He stood up. "Why don't you get it?"

"I do get it Landon, but I figured if I just ran away and played stupid things would be okay. I know what you just did and I'm really sorry but I don't feel the same way."

"I know because if you did you wouldn't be running. Why do you even like Heath? Huh? Tell me one good thing about Heath." His tone changed from sadness to anger.

"Well, if you must know he is very romantic. And he loves me, he truly loves me." I said smiling to myself.

"Okay, now is there anything else? Do you ever have real fun with him? Do you guys laugh together? Laugh at each other?"

I went back in time searching for a "inside joke" moment but found nothing. So I lied. "Yes, we have. We are perfect for each other. What else do you want me to say?"

"Sabrina you know I'm right. I don't know why you won't give me a chance."

"Because I don't like you like that. Your like my brother, not my lover." I said rudely and walked away.

That night I was laying in bed but couldn't sleep. I looked at the clock. 12:46 A.M.
I sighed and rolled over. Then i was forced to stare at the pictures on my other nightstand. One was a silver framed picture of Heath and I. He had his arms wrapped around me and we were both smiling for the camera. We were at a double date with Lacey and Gavin. We were waiting for our table. The other was a wooden framed pic of Landon and I laughing at Lacey's house. Lacey and Ashton were sitting next to us staring like we were freaks.

I grabbed both pictures. I thought about the song Landon sang and when I look at the pictures only one line popped in my head. " We get along much better that you and your boyfriend ." As i looked at the pictures and thought about all of my memories with Heath very few of them were fun. I mean we had some great times but never has many great times Landon and I have had. And to think Heath and I had been together for like a year. Landon and I have many great memories in just a 4 month period. Then came to the real question, did I want fun romance or romance? I was leaning towards fun romance and it broke my heart. Even though I was realizing Heath wasn't the one I wanted, I still loved him. And he is giving me a ride to school.

I didn't want to think about it anymore. I put the pictures back on my nightstand and rolled back over. With a confused mind and broken heart I quickly fell asleep.

When I woke up I was feeling happy and got out of bed easily. When I walked to my closet I felt the need to impress. So I got my favorite skinny jeans and put them on. I couldn't seem to find a good "impressing" shirt. I decided on a simple V-neck tee and long pearl necklace that looked like three different sized necklaces. I thought today would be a good dy to curl my hair, so I did. When I was done, I slipped on my non-shiny, solid navy Jessica Simpson heels and grabbed my bag. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I applied my mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and vanilla gloss. today I made it a tiny bit heavier then usual. I didn't want to go over preppy and into hoochy.

When I got down stairs my mom was sitting at the kitchen table reading and drinking hot chocolate. (She would be drinking coffee but she has cancer.) She looked at me and scowled. Uh-oh.

"Sabrina Day! Where is you jacket? It's 40 degree's out there!" she said.

"Oh I completely forgot!" Which was true. So I ran up stairs to grab my cream cardigan and my coat. I put on my cardigan and carried my coat down stairs.

"Better?" I asked my mom.

she smiled, "Yes, cute shoes."

I was relieved she didn't tell me to change them. "Thanks. I just woke up in a good mood and decided to wear heels." I grabbed a bowl and my cereal and sat at the table.

"That's good. So why are you in such a good mood?" my mom asked with a sly smile on her face.

"To tell you, the truth I really don't know." I took a bite of cereal.

"Really? I guess that means a surprise is coming your way."

"A good one?" I asked getting a little excited about her superstition.

She laughed at my eagerness. "Not all ways."

"Oh great." I stood up and cleaned my bowl. "I wonder what will happen today."

" I don't know but your almost there to figuring out because your ride is here." she smiled and returned to looking out the window.

Knock, knock, knock.

I grabbed my bag and kiss my mom on the cheek.

"Good luck with your surprise!"

I laughed and opened the door.
