He slammed his fist hard against the table, no one seemed to notice. That hatred and remaining feelings he had been having were bubbling within him. Couldn't they see that he was troubled or disturbed by their conversations? Of course not, they were too into the capture or destruction of the rebellion, and the death of Cassandra Wits or now Cassandra Rogers to care what he feeled. Whenever they mentioned her name, not only anger grew within him, but another feeling stirred, what it was, even he didn't know.

"Has anyone found her and the boy?" One of the people in the meeting asked.

"Not yet, but we have spies everywhere, keeping a look out." One replied.

"That is not enough! We all know that Mongo is hiding them! We have to dive deeper into this than posting spies around the bases, we must get them inside as well!"

He shook his head, "We have tried that, remember?" He eyed Patrick.

Patrick grimaced. Ever since his last mission, nobody gave him much attention or credit, he was just another person to them. "It was not my fault, if Aaron never escaped from Faint Cliff, Cassie and him would both be de-dead!" Why was he stuttering? Whenever Cassie and death were mentioned in the same sentence he froze up.

They ignored him and went back to their own conversation, leaving Patrick to think again.

"We can always get a new and more trained spy."

"Yes, I guess you are right, but we will have to wait a long time."

"Why?"

"Because, who would ever let a newcomer come in? They would have to do backround checks for everything, and then they still might not let them join!"

Another person walked into the room, her sleek strawberry blonde hair rested on her shoulders, her dazzaling green eyes met each men's eyes. Patrick mumbled something under his breath, while the other two men gasped.

"Veronica, how nice of you to join us." They said in unison.

She glared at the two men, "I over heard your conversation, I think I may be of assistance."

Patrick stayed quiet, but on the inside he was screaming. Come here to rub it in that you got promoted, while I, got demoted? Or are you here to show the fact that you are so perfect, while I'm a piece of trash.

"You see," Veronica began, "all of my idenifaction has been destroyed, I am no longer a citizen, so no one will ever know. I am a ghost, a nobody, it's all so perfect for me to be the double agent." Her voice sang out.

"Oh shut up Vern! Cassie knows who you are, and the second she sees you, you'll be caught!" Patrick growled.

"Haha, funny Pat, but Cassie doesn't know me, she never actual met me, she was blind remember."

He stayed quiet, "See you know I'm right!" She put her hair up in a messy bun, "Hand me everything I need and I will be off."
The two men got up immediatly and went off to grab everything Veronice needed, leaving Patrick and her a lone in the room.
"Now Sweety, how long has it been since I've seen you?" She took a seat next to him, rubbing her soft hands against his cheek.

"Dunno, don't care." He shrugged off her hand.

"Ouch, that stung."

"Whatever, I know you were already assigned as the double agent before this, so why did you come and tell us?"

"Because someone needed to tell those fools that Sinn had already come up with a plan."

"And..."

She smiled, "And I need to know where Cassie is. You and I both know that you know."

Patrick's heart jumped. Of course he knew where Mongo was hinding them, he was able to hear where they were placing them when he was captured at Ocean 23, but he never told anyone. "Little Leaf." His voice was hoarse and filled with shame.

"Thank you Pat." She gave a wicked smile, kissed him on the lips then left, leaving Patrick to think.
