I had to admit, school wasn't all that bad.
That jock I soaked wrung out his jacket outside in a puddle. it was a lot of water, and it left a huge puddle. When school ended, the pushed me in the puddle (i think just for fun) , but hey- being the son of Poseidon, I didn't get wet unless I wanted to.
One day down, one hundred seventy nine to go.
Mom picked me up at the front of the school. Since I was sixteen and had my permit, my mom let me drive home. Every now and then she'd grow a little pale, but she just gave me advice. She's just awesome like that. She and my step dad, Paul, both know I'm a half-blood, but they like me for that. Last year Paul had even seen Mrs. O' Leary (LONG story), and he just thinks it's awesome. They're both awesome like that, and I realized that even if I'm not part of the richest family ever (like Rachel is), I still have really awesome parents.
When I got home, I swung my backpack off my shoulder and dragged it into my room, when I realized I forgot my cellphone at home. It sat on my bed, near the edge, about to vibrate right off of it. After defeating Kronos, my mom let me have a cellphone as a "congrats!!!" gift. It was like a rounded rectangular shape that was a sea blue color. it could slide upward vertically to reveal the number pad, or it could slide sideways horizontally to show a keyboard. I hardly use the keyboard, but I thought it was awesome. I still use it every now and then, but not that often.
I picked it up and opened it and slowly made out the words to find 10 texts from Annabeth. I sighed and called her. She should be out of school by now, and I was too lazy to try and make out the letters of her text with my dyslexia.
"Hello?" Annabeth picked up.
"Hey Annabeth." I said. "It's Percy. You texted me?"
"Yeah, I was just wondering if you were free this afternoon." She told me.
"Yeah, of course." I answered. "I just have a lotta HW, that I probably couldn't finish without your help," I added sheepishly.
She laughed on the other line, which made me smile. "You probably wouldn't have even finish one worksheet without my help," She said. "It a wonder you even passed 9th grade, Seaweed Brain."
I grinned at the old nickname. She'd been calling me that ever since I met her 5 years ago. I could imagine her smile as she said the nickname that she'd been using for a long time. "True, but just barely," I said. "I still got straight C-'s. Well, anyway, I'm free this afternoon. Why'd you ask?"
"I just wanted to come over." She said. I could hear some talking in the background, but very faintly. I guessed she was probably leaving the school grounds, and was walking somewhere.
"Oh." I felt my face grow a little hot at the obviousness. "I guess, but I'd have to ask my mom. But she'd probably say yes."
"Oh okay then." Annabeth replied. "See you in a little bit then, Seaweed brain!"
She hung up with a click. My phone made a chiming noise as the call ended. Placing the phone back down on my bed, I leaned back and waited for the doorbell to ring.

I love this line: I could feel her shock and sorrow and even a little jealousy when she hung up the phone abruptly.
