"Cris! Wait..." Trixie was panting while he ran after me before I could leave our dormitory buliding. We're in college now. She held my arm for suppert while she tried to catch her breath.

"Okay. I really don't like running," she said and straightened up and held an envelope to me.

"Dejavu..." I looked wide eyed at her. She was giving me another envelope and it mad me remember teh first time she did, it was saying that Paul was leaving. What was this about now?

Our high school years were over and Trixie unexpectedly became my bestfriend. Paul succeeded in one thing and that was widening my world. If everything never happened in junior year, maybe my only friend was still Faith. I enjoyed the rest of our high school days. Faith talked to me two weeks after Senior year in highschool started and and that's because she forgot she hated me. I could almost hear her squealing on the phone when she told me she was dating Justin. I couldn't be more happy to hear from her and about her news. I congradulated her then and we became friends again though not that close anymore.

Trixie helped me out in everything including getting over Paul but still sometimes I miss him. I didn't know if I would be able to see him again but if I would, well, i don't really know yet.

"This is your first recommendation letter for the Delta Gamma Zeta sorority," she now stood and smiled with excitement in her eyes.

"First?" I asked.

"Well, yeah. Wait for other recommendation letters. With how hot you are, you're telling getting more, sis," she smiled again.

"Where are you going anyway?" she asked me. I know she was thinking why I was going out alone.

"I'll just have coffee from the cafe just 'round the corner," I said.

"Okay. Well, I still got to organize the new dresses I bought and I'll follow, okay?" her thumb was pointing back to the stairs and I just nodded.

"One cafe mocha please," I said.

I sat outside the shop to get some fresh air and I just love the aroma of coffee around me. The shop was almost full and luckily, I found one more empty seat. I sat down and laid my coffee on the table and my mini backpack on the other chair with the envelope on top of it and took my first sip. I put it down and started answering the daily crossword puzzle on the paper delivered early in our room.

"Excuse me?" someone said. It was a guy.
"Can I sit here?" he asked.

I was still answering and I just smiled at the paper and nodded.

"It's a nice weather, isn't it?" he asked.

Couldn't he just shut up? I couldn't concentrate. I sighed and nodded.

"I'm disturbing you, aren't I?" he asked again.

I sighed and looked at him. Okay, I give up. And I saw him. Surprised and wide eyed.

"Paul?" I asked.
"Paul Whitman?" and now he was smiling.

"Hi, Cris! I knew it was you!" he said like confirming his thought. He smiled wider and hearing his voice again and seeing his face, my heart started racing again.

I thought I got over him but why do I feel like this?

"What're you..." I trailed off.

"I'll be studying here," he said and I felt a sudden heat of excitement flowing in my veins.

"Wow..." I just trailed off again and couldn't think of something to say. I looked down at my coffee because I realized I was looking at his face so long. I nodded and smiled.

"Same here," I just said. It was really awkward. I didn't look at him again.

"Cris, I wanted to talk about the-" he was saying when I cut him off and said "Nope,"

"No." I shook my head and showed him a smile.

"I should probably go now. Trixie is waiting for me," I said and stood up. I carried the cup of coffee in my hand and pulled my bag when the envelope fell. He picked it up.

"Are you..." he asked.

"Yeah, i'm rushing a sorority," I said and then I was unsure if that was what he was going to ask while I had the envelope back.

"But Cris,about-" he was about to say.

I wasn't prepared to meet him again specially in a surprise like this and talk to him? What do I say?

"Paul, past is past, okay? It's fine. I'm okay. See you around," I said and was about to go when he held out his hand.

"Please Cris, friends?" he asked.

I stared at his hand and was hesitant but later took it and nodded.

"Okay, friends," I forced out a smile.

He motioned me to sit back in my chair and I was hestitant still to stay. I wanted to see Trixie and tell her what happened but he was offering me to stay for a while and I couldn't say NO now.

"So how did high school go?" he started the conversation as I sat back.

This was the start of my college life and I didn't expect Paul to be here though I wasn't sure if he would be part of my life again. Trixie would be fine with this I hope. I knew deep inside me that I couldn't hide that I still had strong feelings for Paul and it had not been faded even if he hurt me then. I still love him.
