Enemies

I walk around hating strangers. I hate most people on the bus. There is the one annoying red head that is such a loud talker. She sat in the back (where I sit, thank you very much) and strikes up a boring ass conversations with whomever glances her way about baby sisters and daycare and blah blah. Her victims get off at their various stops and she frantically looks about for someone else…her big grey eyes searching, scanning until finally- she sees a guy reading a book that she had just annoyed a Borders’ clerk about the previous week…”Hey, do you like that author, typically?” (To me, it was the usual trash the average bus reader reads – a sick and wasteful romantic fiction or some scientist gone self-proclaimed suspense author) and…done. Conversation ensued. Thank god for noise-cancelling headphones.
