Since the first humanoids took to their hind legs, people have asked: Why? These big questions haunt, and enhance, our lives. Various theories and ideas have surfaced and attempted to answer why, or better yet, what. Those who are religious have the big questions answered for them. Yet, for those of who us do not buy into tradition religious philosophy, the answer is evasive. Always seeming close, just out of grasp, we can never seem to be able to answer ourselves.
In this day and age, those who are attempting to answer the great questions is dwindling. We truly live in an idiotic society. Individuals drift through there days, accepting all that is on the surface. Celebrities lives are of more importance than politics, personal success more important that success of the whole. My generation has not produced any great philosophers, no sagacious writers, or profound thinkers. Instead we have given the world Myspace, Facebook and Twitter.
Critical and interpretative thinking are gifts bestowed upon humanity. Those who do not use them are wasting the very thing that makes human. The ignorant structure that forms our society must be destroyed. The pen is my hammer for the concrete of ignorance.
In this series of essays, I will attempt to answer the Big Questions for myself. Hopefully, my musings will be of importance to my readers. The box in which we were born and grew up is the most harmful zone in which an individual can stay; my writings stray far from the safety zone. The dark depths of the human sub conscious, far away from societal constraints, is where the Big Answers are found. Enjoy your journey, and let your mind off it's leash.
