As Chingo and his patrol cantered carefully toward the Brooke, he recalled what Yellowback had done when Dandelion came limping back into the grove last week. They all went galloping in, kicking, nipping, then backing up out of reach of the cougars claws, then repeating. Chingo nipped a kit and it ran off behind Owl tree. He looked over and saw the other two kits being chased off by Colby, Ginger, and Dustyheart. Then he hurried to Horsetail kicking the mother cougar in the shoulder and watched it run, yowling off. " Oh yeah!" Ginger cheered. "Is everyone OK?" Chingo nickered. A chorus of Yes, and pretty much filled the Brook's shore. "Good. I don't think they'll be back. Lets go home." He said contentedly.
