"Heads up!" he called, tossing the football to Brad.
"Yeah!" Brad screamed, holding the football in the air.
"Nice!" I grinned at Dylan, and Brad.
"Whoot!" Alexandra cried next to me, dancing.
I glanced over to Jessica and Alex, (he's a boy. Alexandra is the girl.) They gave me a thumbs up, and went back to talking.
"Get ready!" Brad aimed the football for Dylan.
"K, go!"
The ball instantly met air, and soared for Dylan. He jumped into the air, and caught it, falling back into the mud, soiling his jersey.
"Ha!" Alexandra laughed and pointed, as he crawled out from the mud. "Nice, dude!" Dylan shook the mud off, as Brad clutched his stomach.
We were outside of the church, playing ball, and hanging out. Jessica and Alex, sat on a blanket, talking. Alexandra, Brad, Dylan, and I, were all playing football for entertainment.
"Just toss the ball." Alexandra said to Dylan.
"Fine. Go long!"
Alexandra let her feet fly, as she ran for the ball. Dylan cackled as she fell face first into the ground.
"Thats not funny!" I glared at him, and ran for my friend. By Alex was faster.
He was by her side in an instant, rolling her over, and pulling the sod from between her teeth. Alexandra sputtered, and shook the dirt from her short, spiky, red hair. Dylan and I surrounded her, helping her get up. "Here, have some water." Jessica tossed the bottle to her.
"Thanks." Alexandra downed the whole thing.
"So, you still up to play?" I asked her.
"Yeah! Lets go!" she took off running towards the other end of the field. Brad shot the football.
I laughed. Leave it to Alexandra to get the game back going.

After a long afternoon of mud, football, and fun, Dylan walked me home.
"So, was it fun?"
"Yeah. You, and Brad, and Alex, and the girls, are extremely fun to hang with."
"Thanks." he grinned.
"So, hows the girlfriend?"
"Oh, Lillian? She's fine. Got second place in the volleyball tournement, you know."
"Ah. That's great."
"I know. I'm proud of her."
"I would be too."
Dylan smiled at me. "Your a pretty great girl too."
"Thanks." I smiled back, and he wrapped his arms around me, in a tight hug.

I'll admit it. I love Dylan. He is the greatest thing that happened to me. But, he's going out with Lillian Wrobie. He would never fall for a girl like me. We're best friends, though. And I know everything about him.
