My heart is forever broken,
to the point where it can never mend.
Ah, but broken hearts do mend,
thought they are crooked and jagged.
The thought that my heart will be like this forever,
one that almost cannot comprehend.
But broken hearts are a painful reality.
Our existence is full of them,
painful and twisted stories of how they became.
They are always there,
looming over us.
They don't go away,
they stay and cause pain.
Though some days are good,
there is always bad in them.
While we often have highs,
we more often have lows.
But this is the story,
of a broken hearts life,
and the person that heart inhabits.
