My Library and other Rambling Thoughts

If anyone is actually paying attention to what I read and think, my system for whether I buy a book is this: I check it out at the library, if I like it well enough that I believe I would re-read it, then I buy it.

I try and stick to this system so that I don't end up with a ton of books that I won't re-read. What is the point of owning a book if you are only going to read it once?

While I have noticed that this system works for me, I am also noticing that my collection still seems to grow. There are some days that I think I should run away to a deserted island with a posh hotel so that I can just be alone with my books for days on end and just read and read and read. For those of you who do not know me very well, the posh hotel is a requirement, because I do not "rough it" unless absolutely forced to it. I would be the whiny one on Survivor that everyone votes off because they are having migraines! That being said, some members of my family would claim that I would be the bossy one that everyone wants to vote off but doesn't because I scare them. I'm not sure which version I really like better...they both seem...well...awful. Hmmmmmm. Oh, sorry, was doing some inner reflecting there.
