Mixed Blessings
My heart is so equivocal
When it should be wildly rejoicing
But the mild joy can be safely public
While I must wrap in secrecy
That in which I most delight
And even for a private celebration
My own fortune is discordant
That mine is a strange conflicted dance
Restrained from leaping and strapped

This poem is just lovely. It explains why we write without becoming arrogant.

I (and I think a lot of us on this site) have felt what you've expressed in this poem...but you have expressed it so very eloquently.

Being a chocholate addict, I totally agree with the sentiment of this poem.
Great job!
