During the day
The luminous sun shines
Distributing light throughout the woods
The few trees that stand guard are sentries
To the creatures that make their home in the woodland
Birds small and delicate
Fill the Trees
Singing songs of freedom
The secretive deer
Gently
Laps water from the stream
The squirrel
Stumbles upon
Just the right nut
During the Night
The moon and stars emerge
They bestow light while the sun is absent
The stream glistens from the reflection of the glow
Providing the necessary nourishment from calm flowing water
The forlorn wolf
Howls out of his own pride
To the radiant moon
The cluster of Frogs
Voice in Croaks
Loud and clear
The masked Raccoon
Sneaks as a forest Bandit
Taking for his own gain
