Swallowed whole by heavy air . Enveloped.
Dark ominous clouds move into position.
Clear, sharp smell of things to come
Awakens memories, feelings, childhood.

Deep peals of thunder roll
Soon followed by appendages of light ...
Lashing down to earth
Staccato whips of electricity.

Great self contained
Dollops of river, lake, sea
Free fall to awaiting dry beds
Swallowed, absorbed, appreciated.

Watching sidewalk pores swallow,
Tongues ache to softly scrape,
Mouths long to suck sweet nectar
Selfishly draw life from lime and mortar.

Falling half notes, quarter, finally eighth
Flora and Fauna prepare for more
Crescendo now ... Prestissimo ...
Mother earth applauds the performance.

" Nice figurative language. Its kinda like it can be interpreted anyway, so much energy. Great closer with the Mother earth ending. "
