Consider the anomaly that is known as the panda bear. It is called a bear, but it is unlike any other bear. Unlike other bears, pandas have a sixth “digit” which acts like a thumb for holding their food while they eat. Speaking of food, the panda’s diet is another unique feature that sets it apart from other mammals. Most mammals consume a variety of food during the course of the day. however, the panda has a very specialized diet; they only eat a bamboo. Such specialization in diet is rare even among herbivores and herbivores don’t have a lot of options, just look at what vegetarians eat. Even the shape of the panda’s eyes is unique among mammals. These are only a few of the ways in which pandas never really fit in among the animal kingdom. In other words the panda is a social outcast among animals similar to the status of a mime in human society. Is it coincidence that they have they same black and white coloring? Most pandas are even solitary creatures by nature just as mimes are. As it can be seen all the evidence shows that it was only a matter of time before a panda pursued its true destiny… to become the first animal mime.

Picture a serene pond with small waves rippling across the surface caused by a light breeze. Surrounding this pond is a dense thicket of bamboo. Faint sounds of the forest animals can be heard in the distance, but near the pond there are only the soft sounds of the breeze through the trees. The fragrant smell of the local flora wafts gently in the air. Sitting very still next to this pond is a panda. To the casual observer this panda could not be differentiated from any other panda, he has the black spots around his eyes, black ears, black legs, and the rest of his body was white. However, if that observer assumed this was a normal panda, he or she could not have been further from the truth. This panda is a special panda that is lost deep in thought. To the same observer this panda would appear to be staring off into the forest, but this is not case; this panda is staring off into his futures and his dreams. Soon this panda will embark upon a journey to fulfill his dream and his destiny and in doing so he will plunge the world into utter chaos. This panda is named Pandamonium, which is exactly what is about to unfold.

Pandamonium had always been considered strange, even for a panda. Unlike other pandas, Pandamonium never wanted to settle for the docile life of eating bamboo all day and slowly meandering through the forest minding his business. He wanted more from his life… he wanted to be a mime. The other pandas in the area had always scoffed at Pandamonium’s choice of lifestyle and avoided him like he was afflicted with a terrible disease. Some of the elder pandas had tried to persuade Pandamonium to turn away from his inclinations and to accept the ways of a “normal” panda, but to Pandamonium those ways did not seem normal at all. All of the elder’s persuasion attempts failed because Pandamonium felt like he was being drawn towards his dream by some invisible rope. However therein lay Pandamonium’s biggest problem. Even a basic mime maneuver like pulling an invisible rope was very difficult for Pandamonium to perform. Pandamonium knew that pandas did not have the ideal body to perform pantomime; they cannot even walk on their hind legs. Pandamonium wasn’t going to let that obstacle stop him though. For the last few years Pandamonium had been practicing the art of pantomime (or pandamime as he liked to call it) daily. Even though Pandamonium did not feel like he was making progress, he kept striving towards his dreams. Pandamonium felt his dream was finally coming true when he received a chance to perform in front of a live audience.

" My only request is that you employ the literary device of "puns" with greater frequency. Pandamime. hehe. "
