Susana is a housewife, but she could have been a porn actress or an executive secretary. It's not as if her life led her to a fork in the road and she took the path marked Domestic Goddess: it's more like she was pushed off the roof of a building. She grew up uneventfully in a middle-class family, but after her father ran away one fine day—he didn’t even bother to stick to the cliché and tell everyone he was going out for cigarettes—she had to contribute to the household. Back then she was still in high school and dreamt of a life beyond domesticity. But because she was the oldest sister, her plans for college turned into a diploma course at a night school for secretaries, and a crazy teenage life—she felt entitled to some fun—which included a series of low-paying jobs at fast-food joints and behind the counters of small shops.
