Not fade Away

The book celebrates the life of Peter Barton, his success, personality and zest for life especially while facing terminal stomach cancer. I became aware of this book by a comment on amazon for the Randy Pausch's last lecture. His life is definitely awe inspiring but one thing that made me sit up and take notice was his "school outings". He used to take kids to excursions where they could witness behind the scenes of building things, nuts and bolts of how the world functioned. One such excursion was the suitcase trip. First they made a trip to the Samsonite factory then to a dealer to understand who bought more suitcases, etc. and then behind the scenes of airport checked in baggage. I have made a note of it.
