How is it you see yourself
So often,
Yet you don’t know yourself.
Who is that in the mirror,
A stranger?
Your best friend?
You worst enemy?
You know yourself better than
Anyone else,
Are you . . .
Kind and generous?
Bold?
Scared of lots?
Boring?
Exciting?
Combinations? that’s the most likely,
Because we’re not all one thing,
Like in the movies.
Make up your mind! you scream
But it’s hard,
So you just stare
At that person in the mirror.
