As the FireSucker romps in light
The dying daisies scream
The triple suns shine long and bright
The sand masquerades as cream
I always wonder as they fight
In armor glaz-ed green
How they cannot run about turn-ed to a bean
It is yellow as falls the night
And the flowers become mean
How the long-dead barrow-wight
Sniffs the night, his ears so keen
And I silent sit
Upon the doorstep dark
As the lamplight lit
The creeping, creeping lark.
The dying daisies scream
The triple suns shine long and bright
The sand masquerades as cream
I always wonder as they fight
In armor glaz-ed green
How they cannot run about turn-ed to a bean
It is yellow as falls the night
And the flowers become mean
How the long-dead barrow-wight
Sniffs the night, his ears so keen
And I silent sit
Upon the doorstep dark
As the lamplight lit
The creeping, creeping lark.
