Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix was the first rhythm game I recieved. I fell in love with it right away. Of course, I have to tell the story behind that.
It was several years ago when I got the game. My parents got me the game after getting a first place prize at the "Keyboard Karnival." I played it immediately after I got it. The way it combined percussive rhythm and excercise made it addicting. I got into it very quickly.
I played it an awful lot. I had already reached the "Very Hard" difficulty within about a month. Very quick actually! Within two weeks of that, I got to the highest difficulty of the game (which is "Super Hard"). At that point, I was officially addicted.
Living with the game changed my life. I was getting more excersise. At the same time, I was improving my drum skills. (Well, actually, at that year, I never actually played drums. It's the rhythm practice that helped). The ammount of excersise was immense. I was playing maybe four hours a day!
That period changed quickly with my next experience. My rhythm game life continued. Amazing how quickly things can change.
