I have a waterfall for memory,
Scarred easily by the rocks.
Held below the turmoil,
Muted chain thoughts gleam on the surface.
Underneath, temerity is the one
To link all these together.
And nothing is given back - nostalgia
Is said to be empty smooth,
Like the stones that carry the speeding
Waters to another glen.
This one has witnessed enough
To only wish for forgetfulness.
I cradle the fishes in my life,
Part from their company too late.
I seize the caracasses left behind
By their departure, conveniently lost.
These never return to the past
Unless they have always been shackled
To the rocks.
