SCENE ONE
SETTING: GREECE—PERSEUS VISITS CASSIOPEIA
PERSEUS: “Please let me marry your daughter, Andromeda. I desire only her. “
CASSIOPEIA: “In order to marry my daughter, you must first set her free. Poseidon has left her chained and doomed to certain death by the sea monster. To do this you will need Medusa’s head. No man has ever been able to survive a battle with the sea monster. If you can battle the mighty Cetus (sea monster) and bring me the Medusa’s head, then you will be worthy to marry Andromeda.”
PERSEUS: “If it will win me the heart of the only woman I love, I will certainly do anything that you ask. ”
