ANNOCEMENT
No one had ever cared for me like that before. The way he immediatly knew what to do to help me...I was convinced that we were right for each other. And this was a fate that I was not even going to try to push. I liked him...no, I loved him.
"Morning,” he said displaying no emotion on his face. He suddenly looked embarrassed. “About last night…I am sorry for being so…” he was searching for the right word, “enthusiastic. I was just trying to get your mind off the fire.” He ran his hand through his hair.
My heart dropped. He didn’t love me after all. He was merely acting as duty called. My heart burned with hate. He had gotten me so excited then just let me plummet. I would not show any emotion, he wouldn’t have to know that I enjoyed it after all.
“I will thank you then for the distraction, but I will have you know that it should not happen again unless it is needed for our survival.” His face dropped even farther with my response. He had been hoping for a different response, I realized, well take that, I thought with my heart still burning in anger.
“Just out of curiosity,” he began, “what was that all about?”
My heart was still aflame with disgust, and I did not trust myself to answer without throwing in something totally uncalled for. Instead of responding I rolled up both my sleeves up so he could see the brands and burns all the way up both my arms. He had not been able see this when I had shown him my back.
“My whole body is covered in similar scars,” I stated, my face showing no emotion. He winced in the thought of it.
“Is that why you were mumbling about Kit when you saw the fire?” I nodded.
“Just another form of torture,” I declared very calmly.
He turned away so I couldn’t see his tears of anger well up in his eyes, but I still noted the subtle shaking of his shoulders.
“Let’s go,” he said through gritted teeth, ready to kill anyone who treats anything like that. I wasn’t ready to leave yet.
“I’m hungry…or thirsty…whatever.” He turned to me.
“What do you expect me to do about that?”
“I don’t know, go hunting with me?”
“Do you see any humans around here?”
“What about animals?” He scoffed at the idea.
“Their blood doesn’t satisfy us, so it would be killing for pleasure.” I frowned. Then a thought occurred to me.
“Is it possible to drink blood, but not kill?”
“Of course, it is not that hard.”
“Do vampires have blood?”
“Yes,” his eyes narrowed, “where are you going with this?”
“I was just wondering if we could share blood.” He blushed. He obviously knew something I didn’t. “What?”
“Well we could, but our blood is golden and drinking and another vampire’s blood will create a link between the two vampires. Kind of like getting married in the old days, where it is impossible to get divorced. No matter how far a part you are to the other you can speak in their head…like telepathy. You can only do that once, once you do with one it is impossible to do it with another. Since we don’t die of natural causes, that connection can go on till the end of time, if they both stay safe. No offence…but I don’t know you quiet well enough to do that with you.”
“Of course not,” I retort, blushing a deep red, “I didn’t know. We will just have to find a village soon, because I haven’t drank for over a month now. My creator never allowed me any unless it was just to keep me alive after a particularly harsh torture session.” He looked repulsed. “I should also tell you in advance that I am also not very partial to very small, enclosed spaces.” I grimaced thinking of those long days on end spent locked in that coffin. The rumor about vampires spending time in coffins is not true, for we are all claustrophobic.
“Okay, we’ll find a place soon. I know of a place down the road where if one or two people go missing no one will think anything is out of the ordinary.”
It was then that I realized that he was a good guy and he might actually love me, but is just too scared to admit it. Right there under the vast sky full of songbirds, I vowed that I would get him to realize that he loves me…somehow…someway we would be together in the end.

Will you read my story "the 4 souls''?
I'm only on the prolouge, but I would appreciate the advice of another writer…more "
It's dramatic!
I think you did copy a lot from twilight though... mostly in this chapter "
I am addicted at this point....
I am a little bit creeped out about the last quote though.... "
