a book should smell like a newly cut grass in a damp. windy afternoon. Refreshing yet cold and when you try to taste each page and feel it go through your throat, down into your belly until it reaches your own concept of consciousness inside your mind, you know it is a book that has changed your life. whether it is for good or for the worst will be determined by the first sniff you made with it. reading explores all your senses, it is that part of you that opens up and creates a new version of you that walks along the path to see the kangaroos in the zoo or that someone that has seen marvin the robot be depressed and be repressed over and over again. And yes, in some instances join dr. schwartz balance fluid and electrolytes.
reading is tasting, feeling, seeing and hearing the book and in my case, my senses start by sniffing the inside for that right blend of paper and glue in hardbound cover or paperback whichever is available.
