Choose between the unique and the mundane.
Accessible vs the obscure/deep.
Aspire one way or another, or can do both at different times.
Time, fate, destiny, love, hate, pain, escape.
Don't look too deeply into a teaspoon.
I don't write; the writing uses me.
Writing to get rich is a good way to die poor.
If it scares you or excites you, that's writing.
Be careful with metal near the poetic outlet.
Time as a companion or as a stalker?
Do gods turned flesh feel themselves decay?
Different voices; different cloaks for different daggers.
Trigger, trigger, bang -> build-up, focus, climax.
Scaring yourself is good in writing, but what if you expose yourself so much that you frighten your audience?
Variations on the three story types.
Happy endings are a matter of timing.
The universe is crueler than imagined, more beautiful than seen.
The trouble with ending is where to do it.
Dialog isn't meant to be realistic; it's what we wish we sounded like.
Must be careful of what's wished for: can't strain believability.
Synonyms: art, artist, audience.
We are our own worst critic.
Time constrains creativity, but lack of deadlines destroys the work.
Don't deny the artist inside when comparing yourself to what you see.
Big message lately: journey, not destination.
Art is in the doing of it.
Heisenburg's Published Journal Principle.
How you say it is more important than what is said.
Do we really control how we sound? Or is it involuntary?
Is letting my voice shine through a failure or a mark of success?
Examining bad writing is as important as looking at good writing.
Ha! Shelf-life of an author.
-------------
Talk faster; we can still understand you.
Even light walks the slow path.
A god's own sweet desire.
Does writing something trap it, prevent it from happening?
How a person/culture identifies themselves is at least or more important than how they are perceived.
Let go of life, soon enough.
Hiding in the Christmas tree.
When the rhyme kills the messenger, who will tell the king?
All typed pages look the same; they are identical, but we strike out with our minds to change them.
