Sometimes words pour out
sweating and salty
against the mourning sun.
You wish to deny a fate
not yours to control...
holding up to the light
outworn shibboleths,
the contrivances of elders.
You leave me dangling by entrails,
waiting for answers I cannot give
to questions you don't know to ask.
The truth is the truth.
Sometimes life just is: And
you can't make it into isn't,
no matter how pleasantly
you press your jackboot
into my throat.
sweating and salty
against the mourning sun.
You wish to deny a fate
not yours to control...
holding up to the light
outworn shibboleths,
the contrivances of elders.
You leave me dangling by entrails,
waiting for answers I cannot give
to questions you don't know to ask.
The truth is the truth.
Sometimes life just is: And
you can't make it into isn't,
no matter how pleasantly
you press your jackboot
into my throat.

you have the metaphorical power of a poetic bulldozer! You can move mountains with that writing.
