My fingers now ripped into the ground fiercely, tearing out all of the grass within a five feet diameter of the grave. Ten feet. Twenty feet. Now I started to dig. My nail polish never came off, it was designed to withstand this, because this is how we had to do dig the person out from the grave. Girls who care about getting dirt under your fingernails, never apply for this job, even if it was a job that you could apply to (and just for the record, you can’t.) I tore at the ground until I am upon something hard and wooden. Please keep in mind that I wasn’t in my right state of mind while doing this, and everything was against my own will. I didn’t want to do any of it. It was illegal to resurrect when you don’t have a job, and I could lose my job for it. But I littarilly couldn’t help myself.

Then, of course, it took no strength at all to lift the huge casket out. I had all of the strength in the world, because I was a different person. A different person that was a lot stronger than my old self, at that. I heaved the casket next to me and slowly opened it with a strong tug. His face was so beautiful, and I instantly fell in love with him. Or rather, whoever I was at that time instantly fell in love with him. Then I gave him a little prick on the four head. It was better than any other resurrecting had ever felt. It was amazing. Watching the flow of blood pigment his pale skin was remarkable. Everything about this one was remarkable. “Peyton,” I whispered, leaning into his chest just as his eyes opened.
She can bring people back. But when she brings someone back that she wasn't assigned to him and automatically falls head over heels for him, what will happen?

Meanwhile, the doctor is stirring up a plan of his own . . . And Tempus hardly knows it.
