Recommended for: people who wonder about afterlife
Read in December, 2007

This book was about a teenage girl by the name of Elizabeth ( Liz ). She wakes up one day and she thinks she's dreaming, however she's really dead and in Elsewhere. Elsewhere is where everyone goes after they die. In Elsewhere, everyone gets younger. Liz meets her grandmother Betty, whom she never met before. She spends most of her time at the Observation Deck trying to see what is happening with her family back at Earth. She doesn't llike being in Elsewhere and tries to find ways of going back to Earth. I really liked this book because it's funny how the author makes afterlife seem like living on earth because many people believe that they go to heaven or hell after they die. I never thought of afterlife this way and I never thought anyone thought of it this way either til now. It makes me wonder where people get such ideas from. Since everyone in elsewhere gets younger, it kind of made the book go better because then you find out that when the babies get a certain age how they go back to earth.

Mr.Nourok I never thought of the way you thought of it, Lily, but it's true: Zevin has ideas about the afterlife that are very different from our own, not to mention Dante's!
