I love the main character of this book. He is really funny, and well drawn. I think his internal dialogue is great. I also like that he is a deaf character and that although it is a part of the story, and you do learn things about being deaf, it is not what the story is about. I love the characters, from the sexy math teacher, to his distant father who reveals a secret in the end. There is a lot of good interpersonal relationship here, good humor some excellent internal dialog BUT I think the mystery was totally secondary to the plot and kind of dull.
