This book has a very different feel than the first two in the series. I won't give too much away, but gone are the undercover missions for the police, even Cabel feels like a secondary character--this book focuses on Janie's inner turmoil. And at times, Janie is a bit dense, missing some big developments until the very end of the book. But, the seres comes to a good conclusion.
