really liked it
bookshelves: funny, fun-or-frivolity

Doug fell asleep while reading this, and I was trapped under a kitty cat with no other reading material in reach, so I stole it. Ended up devouring it in less than 24 hours. It's a total blast. I love Terry Pratchett's wit. This one doesn't get all the loose ends tied up quite as neatly as the Tiffany Aching books (or I'm just missing something? possible), and I couldn't understand what the crap the Feegles were saying half the time. Also, it seems like more was left implied rather than explicitly stated than in the Tiffany books. Overall, though, I enjoyed the heck out of it and welcomed its total takeover of my life for the past day. I was home sick anyway, so perfect timing. As an interesting bonus, the priest character seems to be having the same religious difficulties I'm currently having, only mine seem exhausting and semi-hopeless, where his seem funny. It's amazing what a tiny bit of exaggeration can do for a situation.
