In this rhyming book, the family loves their creaky old house, but when the doorknob comes loose, they've no choice but to consider redesigning the whole house (a search for a screw leads them on a chase to redoing the entire home!). In the end, the littlest of the family fixes the knob and they realize just how relieved they are not to have to re-do their beloved house. I like that the book shows just how unique a family's house can be, and also that no one's is exactly perfect (I can certainly relate!). Great for early elementary kids.
