It took me a few chapters to get into this book, but once I did I really enjoyed it. Galloway has three primary narrators, each narrating their daily duties and motion through a Sarajevo under siege; they are each so rich, and so interesting, that I was sad everytime a chapter ended because I had to wait to hear more of their story, but then was immediately sucked into the next character and the next chapter as soon as it began. I want to say how it's a powerful meditation on war and the way we move through a landscape that has been radically changed, but that sounds so pompous.
