WOW!!!!!!!!!!! This book was so amazing and gave you a look at school shootings like Columbine that I don't think many people would ever consider. To feel sorry for this kid as changes everyone's life in 19 min by shooting up his school. And the huge twist at the end, how easy it is to be involved in abusive relationships and how many forms of abuse can be committed without anyone knowing. It definitely made me take bullying between kids more seriously. It is never okay to make someone feel less than. And as kids it's hard to see that, but as a teacher it is definitely your job to make sure it is not tolerated becasue you have no idea or control over what goes at home, but you do have control over what goes on in your class or program. It was an excellent message that I took to heart. Very intense, but definitely a book every educator or mother should read. How to love your kid or feel for someone even when they do the unspeakable. It's all there.
