on the third day of vacation, my reading goals seem to be/ three stephanie plum books, two jessica darlings, and a partridge in a pear tree.

it occurred to me, somewhere around the halfway point of this book, that i am only reading this series to see morelli and stephanie "hook up"...stupid chick lit stupid.

it also occurred to me that since i only own the first three books in the series that i am really hoping it happens soon. you know, from a financial point of view.

once more, stephanie is a tenacious, albeit occasionally obtusely stubborn woman, who i just can't seem to not root for. however, these mysteries are not "difficult" by any stretch of the imagination. like the first one, i could smell the "big bad" a mile away and the red herrings were as easy to spot as stephanie's bright blue 1953 buick. but as i also confessed earlier, i'm not really reading these books for the mysteries.
