it was ok

I'm not sure what compels an author to actually write dialogue in which people call each other "baby". Strange how the book seemed to be solved too quickly/easily and yet it felt as though it was 2x too long. I didn't like any of the characters and their relationships were too easy, too bland. I'm not into romance novels nor am I into the unnecessary vividness of sexual assault on women. Whatever. But all of this sets up for obvious "shocker" to have the main character JUST HAPPEN to meet up with Putin in prison...and for Putin to be a fan...ugh!

Erin I saw the snippet of your review as I was listening to this novel & chuckled to myself whenever 'Baby' came into the conversation. It became an unfortunate fixation! Hilarious!
