I HATED this book! And I bet everyone else who was intrigued by "Life of Pi" thought they would get another philosophical story with lots of points to ponder about the difference between faith and religion. But this awkward, violent, wandering tale reflecting on the holocaust is shallow and sometimes even feels stupid. Or maybe I'm too stupid to get the deeper meaning of a description of torture or the violent deaths of innocent pets. Don't waste your time, go back and re-read Pi and ponder the role of religion in your life, even if you do not have faith.
