Fascinating autobiography by a very capable author. I'm not sure many people know that Winston Churchill won the Nobel Prize in Literature for one of his works - his talent for writing is obvious.

This is a very personal account of Churchill's childhood and life as a young officer in the British military. A great read if you are even mildly interested in history, British colonialism, the Boer war, and the decline of the aristocracy.
