The best thing I can say about the Stephanie Mayer books is that they're not taking up too much of my time to read. And when I'm not reading them I'm not thinking of them. Good job Steph.

I had also seen the film of this before reading it so nothing in the plot was a shock to me. In fact, no,it was shocking that the characters in the book hadn't thought that Jacob would be a werewolf from the moment in the first book when he said his tribe descended from them.

The haters of negative twilight saga opinions had claimed that Bella is less annoying in the book as you learn why she is so emo. I have to agree with them, she is marginally less annoying. However, in the film she was annoying as hell so in the book she still had a boatload of annoying to throw at me.

I didn't enjoy the book any more than I enjoyed the film so again, well done to the film makers as it is a rare feat to make a successful adaptation. Its just a shame that what they started with was so weak.
