The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
To be fair, I read this in the summer of 2007, I was 20 yrs old. It kind of went on and on and I didn't feel that connected to the main character; to me he came off as a messed up kid who was just trying to get through with his mindset intact. The title comes form a pretty poetic place.
